Main contents include liquidity protection and funding, and cost-effectiveness evaluation of investment projects. - Tasks of raising capital (secure liquidity, principles and terms in the financial sector) - Financial mathematical foundations - Types of financing and funding sources (long-term and short-term external financing, equity financing, internal financing, special types of funding) - Investment planning, investment analysis and decision-making, technical, economic and social examination of investment, static and dynamic methods of investment appraisal - Sensitivity analysis - Investment control |

Knowledge / Comprehension - Students know the major funding instruments. - They can distinguish between internal and external financing, equity and debt financing. - Students know the static and dynamic methods of investment appraisal. They are aware of the weaknesses of the static method. Application - Students can assess the opportunities and risks of important types of financing. - Students can apply dynamic methods of investment appraisal. Analysis / Synthesis - Students can evaluate investment projects in terms of their cost-effectiveness. - They propose appropriate financial instruments for funding. - They can judge the limits of profitability based on sensitivity analysis. - Students implement sample calculations into Microsoft Excel. |
