Learning outcomes |
Knowledge - Students are able to outline the relationship between terms such as strategy development, process management and workflow management. - Students are able to describe the concept of ARIS architecture and the most important modelling methods that are used in the context of business process optimisation projects. Comprehension - Students are able to explain the necessity of the application of models and the relationship between application systems, business processes and models. - Students are able to create and manage models in ARIS Business Designer. Application - Students can reasonably use the individual notation elements of EPC and BPMN 2.0 in practice and in accordance with regulations. - Students are able to model the links between the data-related and the functional view by means of event-driven process chains. - Students are able to create realistic EPK and BPMN 2.0 diagrams specifically geared to the target group at different abstraction levels. Analysis - Students are able to categorise and contrast different modelling methods in terms of features. - Students are able to gather insight into the real design of business processes using the case study of MAVO GmbH and critically describe realistic and unrealistic aspects of the case study for practice transfer. Synthesis - Students can organisationally document processes, design IT activities and develop an integrated process model from the rough description to the automated workflow. Evaluation - Students are able to reflect the implementation of process automation in relation to the definition of objectives of IT transformation right up to the transition of business processes in terms of design and workflow implementation. - They can combine and rate different possible solutions with regard to business management and system architectural aspects (bridge between business and IT). |
