Problem analysis, structuring of proposed solutions, presentation techniques

Comprehension

  • Students can classify business management problems in the context of learning outcomes of the study program.

  • They recognise the relevance of the learned study content.

Application

  • They use general technical and methodological knowledge and specific knowledge acquired in their chosen specialism to structure problems and state alternative processing methods to the working team.

Analysis

  • They are able to propose solutions to given problems from practice.

  • They are able to point out ambiguities to given problems and develop ideas for clarification

Synthesis

  • Students propose a solution for the given problem.

  • They describe the content of the solution, the conditions, the opportunities and risks.

  • They develop a simple project plan to estimate the time required to achieve implementation and the financial conditions.

Comment

The aim of the course is to examine the contents of the bachelors program and the transfer of this content to a practical problem. Specific issues of companies in the region are processed and presented in the final session in front of company representatives. The objective is also to build relationships between students and companies.

If students are not able to attend this course e.g. due to illness etc., there is no way to repeat the course in time before completion of the degree. In justified cases, the missing ECTS points can be obtained by through an alternative piece of work. The replacement work and the basis for the assessment is a written paper in form of a reflective report about the study completed of at least 30,000 characters incl. spaces.
