A multi-day excursion enables a practical insight into logistical issues and actions.

Learning outcomes

Comprehension

  • The connection between theory and practice to specific areas of supply chain management is experienced.

  • The contents of the excursion topics can be presented and discussed by students.

  • Students are able to explain practical problems of supply chain management based on experienced excursion examples and state appropriate solutions.

Analysis

  • Students are able to analyse the similarities and differences of theoretical and practical logistical contexts and are able to present the usefulness of theoretical perspectives for practical situations.

Field trip lasting several days with presentations and company visits.

Travel expenses for excursion depend on the topic and purpose of the field trip.

Students with supply chain management as a specialism have priority in the allocation of field trip places.
