Course content

The course serves to consolidate the students' own basic knowledge of business administration in the field of entrepreneurship by preparing relevant topics in a way that is suitable for children.

In the first part of the course (kick-off), contents on the topic of entrepreneurship (education) are presented and assistance and tips for the didactic preparation of workshops in elementary schools are given.

After getting to know each other, students and teachers exchange information on project goals, entry requirements, framework conditions and the design of the workshops at the schools.

Afterwards, the students independently design and hold two workshops for the elementary school children, based on the existing concept of the Changemaker Program.

At the market day, self-produced products and services are sold by the elementary school students under the supervision and supervision of the students. In a final reflection workshop, which the students prepare and implement independently, the profit is calculated, the use of the profit is clarified and the learning outcomes are discussed with the children. A learning outcome assurance of the students takes place in the last unit of the course.

Learning outcomes

In the Changemaker Program, students acquire basic entrepreneurship skills and bring entrepreneurial thinking and action to life for elementary school children. They awaken interest in economic contexts and encourage the children to participate in business and society with self-confidence through active project work. Students consolidate their own basic business knowledge in the field of entrepreneurship by preparing relevant topics in the areas of entrepreneurship and pedagogy in a way that is suitable for children.  These "changemakers" then support elementary school children in implementing their own first entrepreneurship project.
