Course content
  • general knowledge vs. scholarship, epistemological models, test logic, assessment of test ideas, selection of test objects, selection of test type, testing, questioning, monitoring, physiological measurements.
  • framework conditions for evaluations
  • test planning, definition of terms, citations, references etc.
  • assessment of the test results, quantitative and qualitative features, preparation of reports, context dependency, hypothesis development and theory development
  • transdisciplinary research, assessment procedures, model development, hypothesis development
Learning outcomes

The students are able to

  • define a research objective.
  • prepare an academic paper.

They know which research methods are appropriate in which contexts.

They have in-depth knowledge and skills in the field of qualitative research and basic skills in the assessment, argumentation, reflection and analysis of design-related contexts.
