Prerequisites and co-requisites

The first four semester of the Informatics degree program must be passed.

Course content

In the internship a project-related assignment of the students is planned. Students gain in-depth insight into the relevant field of activity and work on a complex problem as a project. In the project, which must also be documented in an appropriate form, the students learn to integrate into a work team and to work with other departments.

Learning outcomes

By completing the internship, the students show that they can successfully apply the specialist knowledge they have learned during their studies in a specific task of professional practice. With the technical report at the end, the students demonstrate the ability to independently work on and solve a training and practice-relevant project within a specified time. The students prevailed in an application process.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Project-related use in a company or organization. The internship can also be done in a research facility. The students have to apply independently for the relevant internship.

Assessment methods and criteria

The work steps carried out must be documented and the current and planned activities must be described and justified. This is done through two interim reports as well as a summarizing technical report to the supervisors at the internship position and at the university of applied sciences.

The final grade results from the evaluation of the technical report based on a criteria catalog by the supervisor at the university of applied sciences.
