Course content

Personality training, goal setting, self-image and external image, team composition, perception and communication, body language, conflict management, team leadership, team development, team organization, micro politics, intercultural competence;

Learning outcomes
  • The students can name the most important rules of communication and cooperation and can illustrate individual rules of cooperation.
  • The students can recognize and reflect on their own communication and cooperation behavior in teams. 
  • The students know communication models and their importance for the reflection of communication patterns. They are able to give and take targeted feedback.
  • The Students are able to reflect on examples and justify why trust is important for successful cooperation.
  • The students know patterns of conflicts and conflict resolution strategies.
  • The students know the tasks and functions of a team leader.
  • The students can collect and design alternative options for action in the reflection rounds.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Theoretical inputs, exercises, (small) group work, case scenarios, feedback and reflection.

Assessment methods and criteria

Presentation (30%) on a selected topic with written handout (70%) at the end of the semester (3-4 people in a team).

For a positive grade, a minimum of 50% of the possible points must be achieved in each part of the examination.
