In this course students have to give a presentation on a topic of their choice, a topic they are genuinely interested in. Language, articulation, and structure, as well as rhetorical and stylistic peculiarities of professional and dynamic presentations are analyzed and practiced. 

Technical and methodological competence (F / M)

In the second semester, the focus is on developing presentation skills.

• Students can use rhetorical strategies to transform a presentation into an exciting experience. The students attach particular importance to appropriateness in terms of expression, structure and pronunciation.

This course serves as preparation for the project presentation in semester 4. The presentations are held in teams of 2-3 students.

The competences that the students acquire in this course are above all from the interdisciplinary area:

Social and communicative competence (S / K)

• Intercultural competence: Knowing the prevailing differences in different cultures and learning to appreciate them
• Conflict management: dealing constructively with different perspectives and interests, recognizing the causes in conflict situations and developing solutions
• Ability to work in a team, willingness to cooperate, ability to criticize: Defining goals together in a team and working for them, contributing constructively and dealing with criticism constructively
• Ability to negotiate and conduct discussions: Be confident and confident in negotiations and represent your own interests and those of the team well
• Reliability: Comply with rules and agreements and do your own work in the promised quality

• Self-reflection ability: Knowing your own abilities and limits and reflecting on your own actions
