Learning outcomes |
Knowledge - Students know advanced functionalities of MS Excel. - They know advanced techniques of designing spreadsheets, e.g. conditional formatting. Comprehension - Students understand the conceptual basis of the construction of advanced Excel spreadsheets. Application - Students can implement simple and advanced quantitative business problems in Excel. - They are able to implement simple control mechanisms to verify the accuracy of the spreadsheet. - They can extend the scope of Excel spreadsheets with database functions. - Students are able to generate target group -elated reports from existing Excel spreadsheets. Analysis/Synthesis - Students are able to work through simple and advanced quantitative business problems analytically. - Students design and document an Excel tool for the solution of practical quantitative business problems. |
