  • Roles and situational leadership styles in different change models and phases
  • Leadership and dealing with resistance and motivation in transformation processes
Learning outcomes

This course builds on the “Fundamemtals of International Leadership” course and focuses on leading change. Dealing with change and transformation and to lead employees through resistance are main challenges leaders have to face in our modern VUCA world.

Students…

  • can compare different change strategies and phases of a change process.
  • are able to describe and reflect the role of change agents and leadership in different types of transformation processes. can plan a process-oriented and adequate procedure and intervention methods for exemplary, concrete change situations in a company.
  • understand different coping reactions and resistance of people to change and have a broad repertoire of methods for constructively dealing with them.
  • can analyze a case study with different concepts of change management and organizational development.
  • are able to identify and compare the structure, success criteria, risks, as well as the necessary organization and planning of intervention methods including large-group methods.

  • group work and presentation in small groups on a specific leadership and change case
  • individual literature review
  • individual short paper about the use of a change intervention method/tool.
