Course content

In several workshops, the basics of 3D computer animation are developed. The steps of modeling, texturing, animating and rendering are worked out together using practical exercises:

  • Visual designs of products: Basics of 3D modeling based on a specific product (e.g., speakers)
  • Architectural visualization: staging of virtual buildings by adapting surface properties and textures as well as photorealistic lighting methods
  • Animation and process visualization: elementary approaches to animate objects and characters
  • 3D printing: creating printable models such as keyfobs or similar. and printing real models
Learning outcomes

The students master the basic manual skills of this field. The students know how to operate the relevant software, tools and devices. They know the relevant design options and design examples. The students can assess the complexity of different design processes.
