Course content

In this lecture the students are introduced to a 3D computeranimation tool and learn how to create and optimize virtual models for realtime interactive scenarios. Besides the modeling process they learn how they create shaders, scenes, animations and renderings based on several different practical execrises. Another focus is put on creating interactive 3d applications by using a game engine and implementing most recent input and output device technologies in the area of Virtual and Augmented Reality.

Learning outcomes

The students are able to follow the expert discourse in the area of 3D computer animation, AR and VR as well as to differentiate and describe specific terms. Furthermore the are capable of creating virtual 3d models on their own an transfering them into interactive 3d worlds. The students can combine modern tools of computer graphics with novel user interfaces to create innovative interactive 3d scenarios.
