Course content

Students continue their biography work of the first semester by focusing on our globalized, media and economy driven, life-style society. Within the framework of popular culture, socio-political changes and theoretical discourse they will hopefully find a way back to the anecdotes and patchwork of their own lives and identities and those of their generation and other generations. These might then provide them with possible answers to the question: "What is my generation?"

Learning outcomes

This course enables students to deepen their vocabulary, greatly improve their listening skills and actively use the acquired vocabulary and language patterns in class. Students are able to talk about their generation, choice of career and social developments individually and in relation to each other. They have a better understanding of the multilayeredness of the process of socialization. Students learn to write an abstract.
