Course content

This course deals with problems of the process of managing the entire lifecycle of a product. There will be discussed the engineering aspects of a product from the descriptions and properties of a product through its development and useful life. The sudents gets to knowe different communication and information systems to manage all of the data. In the second part of the course the students learn different finishing methods and there practical application.

Learning outcomes

Students acquire knowledge of the process of managing the entire lifecycle of a product from its conception, through design and manufacturing, to service and disposal. They gets informations about the engineering aspects of a product from the managing, descriptions and properties of a product through its development and useful life. Students are able to comprehend that all companies need to manage communications and informations with their customers, their suppliers, their resources within the enterprises and their planning. A second part of the course deels with finishing of workpieces.
