"Introduction to the solar system Technical basics of space travel:

Learning outcomes |
The lecture provides an introduction to the technical and organizational challenges of space travel. After a compact introduction to the astronomical basics, the focus is on relevant subsystems such as propulsion, communication and energy, as well as the basics of orbital mechanics, manned space flight and analog research. Towards the end of the course, students design their own space mission. |
